Durham Public Schools (DPS) welcomes you and your child to a wonderful school experience! Your child's education begins with their Kindergarten year - a year that is filled with new and exciting experiences for children and their families.

DPS has our own Kindergarten mascot - Dottie the Mouse! Dottie is warm and fuzzy, just like our Kindergarten classrooms! Look for Dottie at our special Kindergarten events. Thank you for choosing DPS for your Kindergartner. We look forward to many years of learning together.

Please join us on Thursday, February 25th from 6:00-7:45 at the Durham Public Schools Staff Development Center for our first Steps to School event! Families will learn effective strategies to help their children succeed in Kindergarten. Call 560-9403 before February 19th to reserve your spot!
